July Favourites

Hello Lovelies!

I could do yet another intro being totally amazed at the fact that we are in August already but I shall NOT and will skip straight to my July favourites!

Liz Earle Moisturiser
I recently repurchased my beloved Cleanse and Polish and I actually bought the basic skin care set where I got the cleanser, toner and moisturiser. I am absolutely LOVING the moisturiser. Its such a light moisturiser, perfect for during the day under make up and for at night too. I adore the scent too, which is abit of a weird reason for loving a moisturiser but hey-ho!

Barry M- Rasberry
My favourite nail polish of the month! It is such a pretty colour! It looks amazing with a tan...but I can't decide whether it looks red or not..I'll just say its a deeeeeep berry colour- verging on red- but not actually red...I love it!

MeMeMe MoonBeam Highlighter
I bought this product earlier this month but I won't waffle on too much because I actually have already done an entire post raving about it HERE

Inglot Neutral Pallet
I bought this nearly two months ago and I have literally used it everyday since! Abandoned are my beloved MAC & NAKED pallets and in their place is this little pallet of perfection! The eyeshadows are amazingly pigmented, you get alot of product in the pans and I think they are amazing value too! My pallet cost me €30, and for 4 excellent quality eyeshadows (and the really cool packaging) that is well worth it in my eyes!

The Hunger Games
Bit late on the bandwagon for this but I recently purchased The Hunger Games trilogy and I'm loving it! Half way through 'Catching Fire' and I am obsessed!

Made in Chelsea
I am beyond obsessed with this show! I have watched every season within 2 weeks and I am eagerly awaiting the next one. I want so bad to wake up one morning looking like Millie McKintosh pleeease!

So those are my favourites for the month of July, hope you enjoyed reading this!

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen | Oyster Glow

Hello Lovelies,
So recently I have been on the hunt for a cream coloured eyeliner but have been unsuccessful for so long. Until I came across this little beauty!..

This is the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Oyster Glow. I seen this being raved about on so many blogs and youtubes and have heard that it is the loveliest formula for eyeliner. And being an advid eyeliner wearer I knew I just HAD to try it. So on to ASOS I went and popped this little beaut in my bag and checked out and eagerly awaited its arrival.

I literally have not been so excited to recieve something as I was this. No sooner had it arrived than I had it out of its packaging and applied on to my water line.

It applies like a dream, it literally is the smoothest application of eyeliner that I have ever had. I was abit aprehensive about how long it would last on my water line since it was such a soft application but I wore this to work and it lasted the whole day and I actually had a swatch on the back of my hand and that was impossible to get off too! So when they said it was waterproof on the package they really did mean it!

I am literally IN LOVE with this product and can not get enough of it. I wear it on my bottom water line just to make myself look more awake and brighten my eyes up abit. I think I will be investing in a few more of these gorgeous eyeliners I have my eye on the brown one next.

I thourghly thourghly recommend these eyeliners and I bought mine online here

Lipstick of the Day

Hello lovelies!

Just a quick post today to show you the lipstick that I'm wearing today. Now if you know me you'll know I'm defiantly a neutral girl, in both eyeshadows and lipstick. But today I've decided to go for something a little different.

This is "Cherries In The Snow" by Revlon. I bought this lipstick back in January (cherries in the snow...January...suitable yes?) and it has been a firm "Going Out" lipstick ever since then!
I love this color and the only way I could describe it is that it is a berry color! I do find this lipstick abit drying so you'll defiantly need trusty carmex or whatever lipbalm you use!

It does last through out the day with some lipliner underneath and it has a lovely glossy finish to it.
Revlon also do a nail polish in the same color and I really want to get it, I think it would be a lovely color for the winter time!  Here is a picture of me wearing it on a night out...

I bought mine online here

Empties Post

Hello Lovelies!
Today I'm doing my first ever Empties post. I actually love these kinds of posts because you can actually tell that the products have actually been used and the opinions haven't been formed after like two uses of the products.
So as you can see I don't actually have that many products because it literally takes me forever to finish anything (I've never hit pan on any eyeshadow...ever) but I was so excited that I actually finished things I had to show you what I've finished this month!

So on with my empties!

Tesco Nail Polish Remover- This is like the fifth bottle of this that I have finished...I find it just as good as the more expensive brands, and since I paint my nails every second day I go through it like there is no tomorrow.

St Tropez Mousse Self Tanner- This is my all time favourite self tan. I wish it wasn't so expensive because it really is amazing. The only thing that I don't really like about it is the smell, but for the effect it gives it is something I can live with!

Vaseline Deep Conditioning Coco Butter- As you can see I really didn't want this to finish so I chopped it to get every last drop out of it! I have re-purchased this already in the tub form which is more...sturdy?..for want of a better word! But it is my go-to body moisturiser...and it smells delish!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish- Another product I have already re-purchased! No bad words to say about this product...I was devastated when I ran out and immediately had to order a new one!

Nivea Pearl Beauty Deodorant(Spray & Roll on)- Bit of a boring product here but I do like it. Keeps sweaty patches at bay but doesn't have an over powering smell that a few other deodorants that I have used had.

Hask Argan Oil- This is a new addition to my hair care routine but it has made such a difference and I got this about a month ago and it is completely gone. Leaves my hair feeling gorgeous and its only €2.50 and I will be buying it again the next time I'm in Primark.

Barry M Top Coat- No surprise that the only nail polish I have ever managed to finish is a top coat since it is the one I use every time I paint my nails. I really do like this top coat, it prevents chipping and leaves my nails looking lovely and shiny too!

Liz Earle Bargain

Hello Lovelies!

I recently ran out of my beloved Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. It was the first time I actually used up a full cleanser and I absoloutely LOVED it. So I set on the mission to replace it. Me being as finicky as I am wasn't sure if I would go back to Liz Earle or try something else. So I was flicking through various websites and ended up back on the Liz Earle website. They had a special offer on for July so of course I had to have a look.

They were offering a package where you could get the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, Instant Boost Skin Tonic, Skin Repair Moisturiser , two muslin cloths and they were giving you a Botanical Shine Shampoo and Botanical Shine Conditioner all for €46.25. If you were to buy this individually it would cost nearly €70 so I was really saving nearly €25 so it would be terrible not to make use of this offer....wouldn't it? I have to replace my Garnier Moisturiser and Toner as that has ran out on me in the past week and they are really hard to find lately (grrrr) so this really was really the best option!
As always my items came beautifully packaged. You can always see the amount of effort that goes into the display of their products which I really appriciate! I have tried the Cleanse & Polish before so that's already got a big thumbs up in my book, and I tried the Instant Boost Skin Tonic as a sample size and even though I only got a few uses out of it I really enjoyed using it and now I have a new moisturiser(which I dropped when I opened the parcel and cracked...heartbroken is not the word) , shampoo & conditioner to try and I'll make sure to report back on those!

Absolutely delighted with my purchase and all my new products that I get to try out!

Maybelline Dream Lumitouch

Hello Lovelies

I have been a big fan of the YSL Touche Eclat for awhile now but I'm not the biggest fan of the pricetag...at a whooping €35 it makes me a little sad!
So I have been looking for a cheaper alternative for awhile. Luckly enough I am blessed not to have major dark circles but I think we all like to have a little eye brightening to help us along.
So one product I have tried lately and been LOVING is the Maybelline Dream Lumitouch Concealer. I actually recieved this as a gift from my lovely mammy but I know it is around the €10 mark in Boots which is a significate €25 in the difference.

I got it in the shade Ivory which is the lightest that they did. I do love the consistancy of this concealer. The coverage is actually better than the YSL I wasn't looking for it for that purpose but it is a nice addition. It gives a lovely illumating look to the skin. It is meant to be a gel based concealer which I think is brilliant because its lovely and light but still your not completely bare faced which is good.

The only thing I would say about it is that there isn't a wide color range, I was lucky that I happened to suit the Ivory shade but with a tan on I wouldn't be able to get away with it.

I just thought I would do a few swatchs of the Lumitouch and the Touche Eclat for you just so you can see both. I am shade number two in the YSL which is abit more pinky toned just incase you're wondering for the difference.

MeMeMe Beat The Blues Moonbeam Highlighters

Hello Lovelies!
As I've said before, I'm not the best at highlighting but I do think this is because I haven't found the right highlighter for me yet. I recently picked up the MeMeMe highlighter because I've read so many good reviews on it. And I also thought it was a more affordable version of Benefits high beam which I was seriously considering but at €25 a pop it was going to be an expensive investment!

I bought this little beauty in Superdrug for under £6. The packaging is extremely similar to Benefits High Beam..and apparently the product itself is an exact dupe! They also have a dupe for the Sun Beam by Benefit but I much prefer this one.

I think this is such an amazing product and has really gotten me into highlighting. I like to put a little bit on my brow-bone, the tops of my cheeks and a tiny bit on my cupids bow.
The other good thing about this product is that it will last me ages because a little goes along way!

NOTD

Hello Lovelies!

As I'm sure you're well aware at this stage, I adore doing my nails! I recently attempted a glittered ombre effect and I'm actually proud of these attempts! So I just wanted to show you lovely people to see what you thought!
It was easier than I thought it would be. I used a loose nail glitter that I got off eBay for about €1 (thank you eBay!) and No.7 Lucky Lilac nail polish. I put two layers of Lucky Lilac on and while the second layer was still a bit tacky I gently pressed the glitter onto the tip of my nail with my finger.

It was really simple. I only did my thumb and my 'bling' finger because I didn't want to go OTT. But here is the finished result! I hope you like it!

Thank You!

Hello Lovelies!

Just a quick post today to say a big big thank you! I've just hit the 50 followers mark on my blog...and while this may not be a great amount to some people it means soooo much to me to know that 50 people take the time to read what I write and are interested in it. When I first started my blog I didn't think anyone would bother reading it, and you can probably imagine my excitement when I got my first follower!

So again thank you all so so much! eeeeeeeeeep!!

What's In My Make Up Bag

Hello Lovelies!
Hope you're all well! Today I wanted to show you what I keep in my everyday make up bag. I love these kinds of posts because as I've said before I'm really nosey and interested in seeing what other people carry around in their make up bag. I try to keep mine very minimal. I do like to change up my make up some days but here are the basics that I always use.

I love my make up bag. It makes me feel like a lady and I actually can fit all of my essentials in it! I got it as a gift from my mum so I'm afraid I don't actually know where it's from. Its taken me quite a while to finally have a make up bag that I am 100% happy with and that I can reach for every day knowing it has everything I need in it.

Anyways on to what's in it!

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer, Maybelline Dream Satin Foundation, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, YSL Touche Eclat, Natural Collection Pressed Powder, Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Sob, Sleek Contour Kit, MeMeMe Beat The Blues Highlighter, Catrice Eyeshadow Base, Inglot Neutrals Pallet, Benefit They're Real Mascara, Maybelline Falsies, No7 Exquisite Curl, Essence Clear Eye-Brow gel, Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel, Lancome Eyeliner in Coffee, L'oreal Carbon Gloss, Eyelash Curlers and my trusty Carmex

I need to have all this stuff with me to top up or re-do my make up. I have already done an everyday make up routine but as I said my make up routine always changes slightly from day to day, I 've also changed my foundation from the Wake me up to Dream Satin which I've been using since I was about 17 and I absolutely love it! I have an awful lot of mascaras but I don't really know why, I do like a bit of variety!

7 Deadly Sins Tag

Hello Lovelies!

I have seen this tag sooo much on different peoples blogs, and its actually one of my favourite tags to read or even watch on YouTube so I thought I would give it a go! Hope you enjoy!

1.GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive beauty item is my Elf Lipsticks which I got for €1.70 on the ELF website, I got the color "Seductive" and I love the colour, Its a nice pinky red colour but I wouldn't wear it in an everyday look it would be more for a night out. It has a lovely berry scent too!
My most expensive make-up item is my NARS duo. It cost me €32 from the ASOS website. (ouchy) I do love this duo, I got Isolde and they are gorgeous everyday colours and amazingly pigmented!

2.WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
The beauty item that I have a love/hate relationship with is defiantly cream blushers. I adore the look that they give but every time I apply it on myself it either goes all patchy and blotchy or I can't get the amount right..wagh!
The product that I found it really hard to get was the Urban Decay NAKED pallet, I ended up getting it on eBay (actually worked out cheaper..yay) because I couldn't find it anywhere!

3.GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
Since I don't normally eat my beauty products I'm going to go with delicious SMELLING beauty products for this one. I absolutely love my Vaseline Coca Butter...It smells delish and I love putting this on after a shower. Its such an amazing moisturiser!

4.SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
This one is easy, I always forget to highlight! I love to contour but the poor highlighting side of things gets lost along the way! I don't think I've found my perfect highlighter yet...the one that actually makes me want to do it every day! I've recently bought the Me Me Me highligher so hopefully it will be the one for me!

5.PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
I think the product that gives me the most self confidence is mascara. I love having full voluminous lashes and I tend to look abit googly eyed without mascara on so I wouldn't leave the house without at least one coat of mascara!

6.LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
Physically I love nice big eyes and nice arms and personality wise I love a good sense of humour and good manners!

7.ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
I love getting perfumes as gifts! I'm dying to try Miss Dior Cherie, so if anyone generous is reading do feel free! I also love getting eyeshadows, particularly MAC one's as I'm trying to fill my pallet and failing miserably!

If you've done this tag please leave it in the comments because I love reading them!

The Everyday Make Up Routine

Hello Lovelies,

I really wanted to do a post just to show what I put on my face on a day to day basis..and yes unfortunately I do need all these products to make me look half decent through-out the day!

Firstly for my base I have been using Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation which I apply using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. And just incase I look too shiny I use a tiny bit of powder to get rid of that oily look and to set my make up also. Next I use my Sleek Contour Kit and contour my (non-existent) cheek bones! I do tend to change my blusher from day to day but my "go-to" blusher is "Mocha" from MAC. Its just a gorgeous matt rosey pink colour but a light hand is needed as it is so incredibly pigmented!
For my eyes I fill in my eyebrows using my Rimmel eyebrow pencil in Hazel...I'm not a huge eyebrow person but I do feel abit odd not having my eyebrows filled in! Then I use a small bit of Catrice's eyeshadow base to keep my shadow on for most/all of the day...and lately I have been using my Inglot pallet for my everyday eyeshadow look. Specifically using the colours 355 which is a gorgeous matt cream(perfect for all over the lid) and 337 which is another matt colour in a medium brown. Then I curl my eyelashes and layer up the mascara..My favourite mascara is Maybelline Falsies which is just amazing! I also love Benefits "They're Real' mascara but I hate using it up because its so fricking expensive! Wagh! Then depending on my mood I either line my eyes in brown or black eyeliner.
Finally using a quick layer of MAC's Hue (new favourite lipstick of all time!) I'm ready to go about my day!

ASOS Blogger Challenge

Hello Lovelies!

So the website DiscountCoder.com are holding a blogger challenge to win a £100 voucher for ASOS. You just need to create an outfit from ASOS for under £100 which is actually alot harder than you'd think!

Anyhu on with the outfit! I wanted to pick out something that I would actually wear. So I went for simple pieces that you could mix and match with other pieces in your wardrobe to create lots of different looks.

So I chose this blue skater style dress as the base for the whole outfit. I adore the colour, the shape and at £22 I think its an absolute bargain! Then I picked out this cute little cropped blazer for over the top which is £35.

I then picked out these brogues. I love wearing brogues with dresses, I think they smarten up any outfit and just look amazing in general. And finally I picked up this amazing necklace..I love love love it and its just so quirky and pulls the whole outfit together!

So my whole outfit came to £95 which I think is such a bargain because these are key wardrobe pieces and can be worn in so many different ways!

Hope you like my outfit and if you have done the ASOS challange please link it below I'd love to see your outfits!

Hair Routine

Hello Lovelies!

As I've said in a previous post I'm not exactly the biggest hair care person in the world but I thought I would share with you the products that I have found work best for my hair and keep it in somewhat good condition.

So the first product I use is relatively new to my routine and it is the L'Oreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Crystal Sparkling Shampoo (what a mouthful) and I actually have a full review on this a few posts ago if you want to check that out..So I wont babble on too much about this. (FYI I love it!)
Next I use my Aussie Colour Mate Conditioner. Since I do have coloured hair I love using conditioner as I feel it makes an awful lot of difference compared to when you don't use it. I have used the Aussie range since I was about 14 and haven't got a bad word to say about it. It does the job and smells lovely too!
The next product is actually another Aussie product and it is the "Take The Heat" leave in spray...I really do try to use a heat protectant on my hair as it makes me feel less guilty about straightening, curling, blow-drying..etc but I do tend to forget quite abit..(slap on wrist)
One of my new loves is next and it is the Hask Argan Oil. One of my friends gave me this to try and I really have fallen in love...it has made my hair soooo silky and it has been in such AMAZING condition since! I am running out of this which makes me sad so a sneaky little purchase will have to be made!
And finally I love a good deep conditioning treatment for my hair and the one I have been using recently is actually my mums...and it is the Dove Intensive Repair hair mask. Its really lovely..again I haven't got too much to say about it other than it does the job, smells nice and leaves my hair in lovely silky healthy condition which is what we all want right?  For hairspray I adore the Tresemme Hairspray and this is the hairspray that I've used alot lately. Its got brilliant holding power,  it doesn't leave your  hair feeling all sticky and strawy and it smells lovely! Recently for dry shampoo I've been using the Tresemme Instant Refresh dry shampoo. I always used to use Batiste but I always hated the smell and that horrible chalky feeling it leaves your hair. So I switched over to Tresemme and so far I have been loving it!

If you have any suggestions for any other hair products you think I may like please leave them in the comments because I'm getting more aware of the products I'm using on my hair and would love to try some new ones!

Favourite Eyeshadow of The Moment

Hello Lovelies!

Today I wanted to write about my new favourite eyeshadow..and I'm sure you've read and heard about this eyeshadow a millon times before but I do think it deserves all the recognition it gets!

Yes it is MAC's Woodwinked. I actually bought this off Julie when she held her blog sale awhile back and it has been a firm favourite ever since! Within a half-hour of me getting it, it was de-potted and given a place in my MAC pallet (that I'm still trying to fill up) and I have used it everyday!

It is the perfect daytime/night-time colour and I love placing it in my crease or all over the lid. It's such an easy colour to wear and if I was only to have one eyeshadow for the rest of my life it would be this one...but I'd rather it didn't come to that to be honest!

Have you guys got any more recommendations for MAC eyeshadows for me?

Skin Care Routine

Hello Lovelies!

If you know me you'll know that I am a complete and utter skin care fanatic! I love nothing more than cleansing my face in the evenings..(does that make me a bit sad) So being this way about my skin care makes me more aware of everything I put on my face. Most of the things I'm using has been discovered through trial & error, by reading reviews on different blogs and recommendations from friends! It has taken me a while to find a routine that I think really works for me. So I thought that I would share it with you in case anyone like me likes to see what works for other people!

So as you can see I don't actually use that many products on my face, I hate using strong smelling products on my face as I find they are too harsh and since I have really sensitive skin that is not something I want to be doing!

For my everyday skincare routine the first thing I do is cleanse my face with my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. Let me tell you something, this stuff is a miracle worker. The product is lovely and creamy and really gets every speck of my make up off (including water-proof mascara!) and I love using the muslin cloths that you get with it, makes my skin feel smooth and very polished as the name would suggest.
Next I use my Garnier Soft Essentials Toner, and I love this because it has rose extract in it which is really good for sensitive skin. I love using toner on my skin, I never thought it made that much difference so I stopped using it. During this time my skin felt so dry, tight and uncomfortable it made me realise the benefits of using a toner. I also find it really refreshing, even if you're not wearing make up all day just to waken up your skin abit.
Lastly I put on my moisturiser, and this Garnier moisturiser is my absolute favourite..I love it so much I've written an entire blog post about it here so I won't ramble on about it any more!

So every once in awhile I like to give my skin a little treat, I love doing face masks & I try to use them once every 2 weeks on my face. The one I'm using at the moment is Montagne Jeunesse in Dark Chocolate. It smells delish but apart from that it does an amazing job at bringing out all the hidden blemishes in my skin so I can get them out of the way before any big events!
And finally the facial exfoliator that I like to use is Vichy Detoxifying Exfoliating Cream. It has tiny exfoliating beads in it which I like and again it smells lovely, not too harsh on my skin and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and smooth!

So thats pretty much it for my skin care routine! I really want to try the Clarisonic so if any of you have it could you let me know how you find it to help with my decision?

New Bag Love!

Hello Lovelies!
Let me introduce you to the new love of my (handbag) life!

Isn't she beautiful? I have seen this bag on so many other blogs and as soon as I set eyes on it I knew I had to have it! If you know me you know I have a tiny obsession with handbags and rose gold so this was a match made in heaven. I got it on the website in the sale for €19.99 and as far as I know its still on the website!
Now I shall stop babbling on about my handbag!
