No.7 Stay Perfect Foundation

Hello Lovelies!

I'm sure alot of you know already that recently No.7 recently re-vamped their entire collection. They've lowered prices, changed the packaging and there is a few new products in their range.
One of the new parts of their range is their new Colour Match service. They've brought out a machine that matches your skin colour to the foundation colour that would best suit you. So what with me being on my "tan ban" and all my foundations being a little bit too dark for my au natural look I decided to toddle into my local Boots and see what all the fuss was about.

The lady at No.7 was so nice and helpful. I was fasinated by the process of the colour matching. She sat me down beside the big window in the shop to get as much natural light as possible (tiny bit mortifing with all the people walking by outside) She took the machine which had a little camera on the side and placed this on my cheek and took a picture and did the same on the other cheek. The machine gave back my result intantly. It showed a little round picture with my skin on the inside and then in a ring along the outside was the shade that would best match my skin.

Shockingly enough the my skin matched the lightest shade in their range which was Calico. I chose the Stay Perfect Foundation which No. 7 says gives "a beautiful flawless finish that lasts all day"

I adore this foundation. Its medium coverage but definatly buildable. It feels nice and light on the skin but it stays put all day long. Everything down to the packaging of this foundation I love. It feels so luxurous and for €16 it really is a bargain. They also have their vouchers going round at the minute so if you're interested in investing in a new foundation you'll get a little bit off for the next while.

Over-all I was delighted with my experiance with No.7. It was never a brand I would think to go to for foundation but I will definatly be re-purchasing after this!

X

  3. I got matched yesterday and got a sample of calico because they didn't have the shade I was actually matched to, I used it today and it just looks horrible on me :( I think it's too matte for me and it's quite a powdery finish which I don't like. It's lasted really well though, it looks on me quite similar to Chanel perfection lumiere but a bit less flattering! X
