Cosmopolitan Blend Perfection Sponge

Hello Lovelies!

Thank you all so much for your birthday tweets and messages! It really made my day!

On a recent trip to Superdrug I picked up the Cosmopolitan Blend Perfection Sponge. I had been looking for a beauty sponge for awhile, since I seen the Beauty Blender online I really wanted one but wasn't prepared to spend over a tenner on one! So when I recently made a trip to my nearest (one hour away) Superdrug I had this straight in my basket! I've been using this to apply my make up for the past couple of weeks and I absolutely love it! I've mainly been using it to apply my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation (which you all know I love) and it has really changed the way the foundation has looked on my skin!

To use the sponge you have to wet it and squeeze out the excess water, the sponge will have doubled in size because of the water. The idea is that you're supposed to "bounce" the foundation onto your skin with the sponge, I use light bouncing (how weird does that sound) and stippling motions to apply my foundation. It gives a gorgeous natural finish to my foundation and doesn't leave me looking cakey or that I'm wearing too much foundation! I find it so easy to build up coverage with the sponge compared to using brushes.

Since using the Sponge I've actually noticed that my make-up has stayed on longer though-out the day and I don't need to touch up as often! I would really recommend trying out this Sponge, especially if you're considering trying the Beauty Blender it might be a good (cheaper) alternative for you!

Products I've Used Up | Empties #4

Hello Lovelies!

I'm sure we can all agree that there is nothing more satisfying than finishing a product that you've had for ages. For me it just gives me the excuse to buy more things. I'm one of those people that get halfway through a product and then just get sick of it so for me to actually finish something is a big deal! Not going to lie I have been collecting these empty products for quite a while so the Empties post would be nice and varied!

Carmex
One of my everyday essentials, I need to have a tub of Carmex with me at all times! I have heard that it's not actually that good for your lips but I find it is the only lipbalm that gives me instant results. I like to use it for a good deep conditioning lip treatment after using my Lush lip scrub!

Bourjois Magic 1 Second Nail Polish Remover
When I first bought this I didn't really think I would "run out" of this, and technically I haven't, it still has product in it but it has gotten so icky I can't use it anymore without getting old nail polish or glitter all over my fingers. I have already repurchased this. I absolutely love it! It is so handy and makes taking off nail polish completely fuss free!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish
I mush have one of these in every empties post I do! I honestly can not survive without this! If I ever not use it my skin instantly turns bad! It smells lovely, leaves my skin feeling lovely and is a lovely treatment for every evening! Again I have already repurchased this, I actually bought the 200ml version so it will last longer!

Liz Earle Instant Tonic Boost
Can you tell I'm abit of a Liz Earle fanatic  I'm a massive fan of toners and I use them on an everyday basis without fail! I do love to test out others but I always end up coming back to my beloved Liz Earle! I am in love with the smell of the Liz Earle toner and it feels so gorgeous and refreshing on the skin. It is definitely my favourite toner of all time! This (shocking) has already been repurchased!

Nivea Refreshing Toner
I told you I do love my toners! I picked this up awhile ago on a whim, in Tesco of all places! It was on offer and I thought I would give it a go! I did actually really like it, it felt nice on my skin and again felt lovely and refreshing! I'm not sure if I would repurchase this again, if it was on offer I probably would!

St Moriz- Dark
No surprise here, I do tend to go through bottles and bottles of this! It is my favourite tan and at €4.99 you can't really go wrong! I bought it in Dark by accident (I do like to be tanned but not THAT tanned) and not to be predictable I've already repurchased it, in my regular medium shade!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Scrub
I am slightly devastated that I have fun out of this. I got this with the "Best of All" set around Christmas time. I completely fell in love with the scent of this!  If you love the scent of Coca-Cola you will love this! This may have even (gasp) taken over from "Flake Away" as my favourite body scrub!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation!
One of my favourite ever foundations, I love the finish of this foundation, it leaves quite a natural finish to the skin and it lasts really well during the day too! I've recently discovered there is an even paler shade in this range called 010 Porcelain and I snapped it up instantly for my no-tan days!

Finally I can throw out these empty products! They have been hanging around my room for way to long! I am so excited today because it is my birthday tomorrow yay! I'm having a nice meal with my family & boyfriend tomorrow evening, having a girly night with my best friend on Thursday and going shopping on Saturday! I think I'm going to go abit crazy in Boots at the weekend so if you have any recommendations as to what I should buy please let me know!

Top 5 Favourite Nail Polishes | Spring Edition

Hello Lovelies!
You all know at this stage I am absolutely obsessed with nail polish and what with the change in the seasons it gives me a perfect excuse to do another favourite nail polish post!
So these are the nail polishes I have found myself reaching for the past few weeks with the change in the weather and just wanted to brighten up my nails!

Essie Mint Candy Apple
One of my all time favourite nail polish colours! Admittedly I would quite happily wear this all year round regardless of the weather but I just think it is the most perfect Spring colour! I can see why it is Essie's most popular shade! It just brightens up any look when I wear it!
Barry M's Pomegranate
This is another one of my recent purchases. I love the Barry M gel range as a whole but out of the colours I have this is my favourite! I love Barry M's Raspberry as you've heard me rave about many times but this seems to be so similar but just shinier which I'd never complain about! I do want to pick up a few more shades from this range because I find them fantastic quality and some of their newer colours are stunning!

Model's Own Utopia
Another neutral on my list (Can you tell I'm a fan of the neutrals!)  This is a very light lilac colour that looks amazing with abit of a tan! I think pastels are perfect for Spring (Pastels for Spring... ground breaking Danielle!) Perfect again for layering up with glitters or nail transfers and even on it's own it looks gorgeous!

Butter London Disco Biscuit
This is a nail polish I finally got my hands on before Christmas and reviewed here.  I love it, it's a blue under toned pink. It does have an unusual texture which I've never had in any other nail polish and to be honest I'm not 100% sold on but for the colour I will happily put up with it! I am looking for something similar though for when I run out of this! If you know of a dupe please let me know!

Essie Fiji
The most recent love of my nail polish life! I bought it a few weeks ago and it has been a permanent fixture on my nails ever since! Such a pretty baby pink colour, I love using it as a base colour under glitter and most recently I have been using Barry M's Ruby Glitter on top, I'm currently on the look out for the L'oreal Confetti Topcoat because I think that will look amazing with this!

So there are my top 5 picks of nail polishes for the Spring! Let me know what yours are! I'm always open to a good nail polish recommendation!..Yes I have a problem!

What's In My Handbag | Spring Edit

Hello Lovelies!

I recently asked on Twitter would anyone be interested in another What's in my Handbag post, and the overwhelming response was yes! I love nothing more than a good What's in my Handbag post and since getting my new handbag I figured it was the perfect excuse to do another one!

Firstly my new bag is the popular Zara one that everybody seems to have and love at the moment, and I can say I am in love with it just as much as everyone else! It doesn't hurt that people mistake it for a Prada or Chanel all the time!

First up is my purse, I featured this in my December Favourites post. I bought it in A|Wear and I adore it! It fits my cards and cash in perfectly and it's not one of those purses that opens in your bag and your money goes everywhere! Next is my Diary, I got this for Christmas and I can honestly say I'd be lost without it! I write everything in it and I remember things so much easier thanks to it!

I always have a hand cream with me and this is my new favourite! It's by Baylis & Harding in Wild Rose & Raspberry Leaf. I also got this for Christmas from my best friend Zara and I've been obsessed with it ever since! Following up on the Rose obsession is my Korres Lip Butter in Wild Rose. I have been so obsessed with all things Rose scented and this such an absolutely gorgeous nourishing lip butter. I'm addicted to it!

If you know me you'll know I'm never one to have just one lip product in my bag and today is no different. I've been reaching for the Rimmel Apocolips in Celestial as my everyday lip colour! I also carry around my everyday scent which lately has been Terry Muglier's Alien. I am utterly obsessed with this scent and since I've gotten it in December I have nearly used half the bottle!

Finally I always have my beloved Kindle with me! I have been loving this lately, I find since getting it I have read so much more. It's so convenient! I'm currently reading Beneath the Glitter by Blair & Elle Fowler and I'm loving it!

So that is all that's in my hand bag at the moment! If you've done one of these posts please link it in the comments because I'm so nosey I love reading them!

Essence I ❤ Stage Eyeshadow Base

Hello Lovelies!

Sorry I've been slightly absent on the blogging front! I've been so busy with work the past couple of days! On one of my recent trips to Dublin I visited the Essence stand in Primark (or Pennies if you're from Ireland) and I picked up a few bits. I'm not sure if Essence is available everywhere but if you haven't heard of it before it is a really affordable make up brand. All of their products are less than €10 and everything I've tried from them before has been amazing quality!
I knew I wanted to pick up the  I ❤ Stage Eyeshadow Base after hearing the lovely Aisling talking about it in so many of her videos. I previously used and loved Catrice's (sister company to Essence) eyeshadow base but lately I have found it impossible to get hold of!

I always have to wear an eyeshadow base because I have hooded eye-lids which means literally everything creases on me! Boo! When I used this with my eyeshadow I was really impressed with the lasting power. I put it on early in the morning and it lasted me through out the whole day and into the evening without budging! The consistency is quite light so you definitely would not feel this on your eyelids as another layer!
I bought this for around €3 in Primark and I think it is definitely worth the price tag! I will definitely be repurchasing this!

No.7 Cleansing Brush

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Recently there has been a new addition to my little skin-care family. Like many others I have been lusting over the Clarasonic for quite some time now. Basically since it came out! I could never bring myself to spend that much money on something that I wasn't sure would actually work for me! So when I was in Boots awhile ago I literally pounced on this when I seen it! This is the No.7 Cleansing Brush! Currently on an introductory offer of £15/€20 I had to instantly snap this bargain up! At an absolute fraction of the price of the Clarasonic I figured it was worth a go to see were Cleansing Brushes for me before jumping in at the deep end spending well over €100.

The No.7 Cleansing Brush has two settings, one of which is faster than the other which is amazing for a deeper cleanse. I have been using my beloved Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish with this. Firstly I'll remove my eye make-up using my Bioderma, and then put some of the Cleanse & Polish all over my face. I lightly wet the brush and start using it in circular motions focusing more on my chin and down the sides of my nose, where I tend to get the majority of my breakouts!

My first impressions of the brush were abit disappointing, the brush wasn't as soft as I'd hoped and since the actual machine part isn't water-proof I was abit apprehensive about it, because it would be just my luck to get it wet the first time I used it! But now I am really impressed, I have been using it for awhile and the brush has seem to have gotten softer (thank god!) and I haven't manage to completely soak the handle yet either! I was also worried that the brush hairs would come out as I cleanse and I'd be left picking them all off when I was done, but thankfully this hasn't been an issue either! I'm also pretty sure that No.7 will be bringing out replacement brush heads so you can change them once they get abit grubby! Over-all I'm massively impressed with the most recent addition to my skin-care routine. I haven't experienced any massive breakouts since using this, which I know alot of people did once they started using the Clarasonic, so touch wood I won't wake up in the morning covered in them!

Have you tried this or the Clarasonic or maybe even both? What are your thoughts?

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

Hello Lovelies,

Look how cute! This ickle brush was (nearly) what made me make this mascara purchase. But I promise I can justify this purchase this in other ways! I am such a massive mascara fan which I'm sure you all know about me. But the thing that annoys me most about it is trying to get product on my bottom lashes with a massive brush...It just didn't work out the best shall we say!

The formula of this mascara is meant to be smudge-resistant which is ideal for underneath your eyes! Since going for a more simple everyday eye make up routine I have been using this to give my eyes more definition. The teensy brush makes applying the mascara an absolute breeze. It separates and coats the lashes in one coat and with it's "tubing" formula it adds amazing length...I've discovered eyelashes I never knew I had!

The tube is absolutely tiny! (2ml's if you're wondering) and you can get it in store and online for €15.
