No.7 Cleansing Brush

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Recently there has been a new addition to my little skin-care family. Like many others I have been lusting over the Clarasonic for quite some time now. Basically since it came out! I could never bring myself to spend that much money on something that I wasn't sure would actually work for me! So when I was in Boots awhile ago I literally pounced on this when I seen it! This is the No.7 Cleansing Brush! Currently on an introductory offer of £15/€20 I had to instantly snap this bargain up! At an absolute fraction of the price of the Clarasonic I figured it was worth a go to see were Cleansing Brushes for me before jumping in at the deep end spending well over €100.

The No.7 Cleansing Brush has two settings, one of which is faster than the other which is amazing for a deeper cleanse. I have been using my beloved Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish with this. Firstly I'll remove my eye make-up using my Bioderma, and then put some of the Cleanse & Polish all over my face. I lightly wet the brush and start using it in circular motions focusing more on my chin and down the sides of my nose, where I tend to get the majority of my breakouts!

My first impressions of the brush were abit disappointing, the brush wasn't as soft as I'd hoped and since the actual machine part isn't water-proof I was abit apprehensive about it, because it would be just my luck to get it wet the first time I used it! But now I am really impressed, I have been using it for awhile and the brush has seem to have gotten softer (thank god!) and I haven't manage to completely soak the handle yet either! I was also worried that the brush hairs would come out as I cleanse and I'd be left picking them all off when I was done, but thankfully this hasn't been an issue either! I'm also pretty sure that No.7 will be bringing out replacement brush heads so you can change them once they get abit grubby! Over-all I'm massively impressed with the most recent addition to my skin-care routine. I haven't experienced any massive breakouts since using this, which I know alot of people did once they started using the Clarasonic, so touch wood I won't wake up in the morning covered in them!

Have you tried this or the Clarasonic or maybe even both? What are your thoughts?

  1. I couldn't justify paying £120 for the Clarisonic either so bought a Rio Sonicleanse from Amazon for £47 just before the Boots version was released. I must admit I am really impressed with the results!

  2. I'm using the no.7 brush too and I'm really pleased with it so far! They've released the replacement brushes now too and I think it's about £8 for two which is really good, but they just always seem to be sold out!

  3. Like you, I have been lusting over the Clarasonic for a while but can't bring myself to spend that much. I had noticed this in Boots but I wasn't sure it would be good. So glad I read your review on it :)

  4. I have the Sigma Cleanse and Polish tool.. and it's pretty much identical to this, but pink :D I love it.. it's a bit too harsh for me to use daily with my sensitive skin, but it's so nice when I do! xx
