Tag | Ten Items I would re-purchase

Hello Lovelies!

I have seen this tag going around quite abit lately, the basic idea behind it is if all my make-up was stole/lost/destroyed what are the very first items I would go out and repurchase.

No.7 Stay Perfect Foundation- I've recently changed to this foundation and I've had no problems with it at all! I am in love, I would have to have a foundation as one of my first repurchases because I'm not confident enough to go without foundation forever.

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer- Next up is the concealer I would choose! I would have to get my Maybelline concealer. It completely brightens up under my eyes and I tend to put it down the sides of my nose too. Its actually got decent coverage too so if I really needed it I could put it on any blemishes I would have too.

Benefit's They're Real Mascara- Ohhhh words would not describe how much I love this mascara! I have raved about this many MANY times before so I won't bore you again. But this is my holy grail mascara and I will forever be repurchasing this...despite the ridiculous price tag!

L'oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss- I chose a liquid liner because I feel I could do without pencil eyeliner for quite a while, I much prefer lining the top of my eyes, I think it makes my mascara look thicker and if I don't line the bottom of my eye it makes me look more awake and wide-eyed & bushy tailed! I love this liquid eyeliner but I went to repurchase it recently and I couldn't find it!! *sob*

Natural Collection Milk Chocolate Eyeshadow- Now if you know me you will know I am an eyeshadow fiend! I am obsessed, up until a couple of days ago I had never hit pan on an eyeshadow. I know I have a problem. But out of all the pallets I have, MAC, Urban Decay, Ingot..I decided to choose my all time favourite eyeshadow my ickle Natural Collection one. Love love love it!

ELF Eyebrow Kit- I would not be able to leave the house without filling in my eyebrows. That may sound abit silly to some people but one of my biggest pet peeves is when girls go out with a full face of make-up and their eyebrows are lighter than their skin/hair and you can't really see them and it looks like they don't even have eyebrows!

MAC Melba- I purchased this recently and it has fast become my everyday blush of choice. It is the perfect peach cheek shade. I think this would suit most skin tones and you really only need the tinest amount because it is amazingly pigmented so a light hand is needed people!

NARS Laguna- Another item that is a recent addition to my make up collection is this little beauty! I love it soooo much! I chose this over my Sleek Contour Kit because I would use this for contouring too and I have recently been bronzing my whole face and my chest and it gives the most natural bronzed colour to the skin.

MAC Hue Lipstick- This is my go-to everyday lipstick. It is the perfect nude lip for me! I could go on and on about this but I will hold myself back!

Carmex- I couldn't go a day without my little pot of carmex. I get such dry lips especially in the winter time so this has to be in my handbag at all times, plus its cheap as chips so definitely a must have item!

So if anything (touch wood) ever happened to my make up collection those are the first items I would rush out and buy! I love reading these tags so if you have done it please leave a link to it below!

Pop Beauty Confetti Glitz

Hello Lovelies!

Following on with my recent obsession with glitter nail polishes I wanted to show you the latest addition to my nail polish collection!
As I've said before ASOS recently had a 25% off code so I figured it woud be just WRONG if I didn't pick up this nail polish that I have been lusting over for months! Its called Confetti Glitz and I will give you a moment to admire its loveliness!

(Apologies for the picture, It's really hard to photograph glitter polishes!)

You can wear this on its own or layered over a block colour. The glitter particles are quite large and are little hexagons in shape. There is a mixture of silver, lilac and magenta glitter pieces in it. I have been wearing this over No.7's Lucky Lilac and I love the combo! I can't wait to wear it as an accent nail with different colours on the other nails.

Have you any other recommendations for other glitter nail polishes for me? I think this is the start of another unhealthy obsession!

Monday Wishlist

Hello Lovelies!

Yet another dreary Monday in Ireland and yet another Monday of me looking online at all the things I want but can't afford sob!

Mulberry Alexa Bag- I think this is one thing I can safely say will be on my wish list for quite a while! I have been in love with this bag forever! But I can't justify the price for it so I may have to settle for a copy!

River Island Leather Sleeve Jacket- I had this on my 'to buy' list for the weekend but I have a RI gift voucher that I wanted to  use but I forgot it at home so I'll have to wait for another day! Even though these kinds of jackets are everywhere I think they are so easy to wear and are lovely!

Zara Diamante Skull Scarf- Yet another thing I wanted to pick up at the weekend but when I seen it in real life some of the diamonte bits were missing off the scarf and I didn't want to pay €20 for something that would just loose its sparkles really quickly!

Shu Umera Eyelash Curlers- I have been lusting after these for ages too! I've heard so many rave reviews about these eyelash curlers and since I'm a huge mascara lover I think this is the next thing needed! One of the joys of living in the countryside of Ireland means these aren't all that readly available but I'm hoping Santa will be nice this year!

Louise Gray Topshop Lipstick in Legend- I was having a stalk of the Topshop website and came across this little beauty. Now it may not be as neon pink as it looks online but I am loving the look of this lipstick! As you know I'm coming out of my comfort zone abit with my choice of lip colour so this would be a very bold choice for me!

I feel abit better now about my Monday after that bit of internet window shopping.

NARS | Laguna

Hello Lovelies!

Recently the lovely people at ASOS gave us a 25% discount code and this made me verrrry excited! I have been lusting after the NARS Laguna for months! So I decided to finally buy it! I literally did a happy dance when it was delivered to my door! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you will have seen and heard my excitement about getting this product many times!

First of all I want to talk about the packaging. One thing I love/hate about NARS products is the packaging. I love the velvety feel to it and I also love how uniform they all look. Eyeshadows, Blushes and Bronzers are all in the same style of packaging. The one bad thing about the packaging is that it tends to get really grubby really quickly..nothing that can't be fixed with a wet wipe though!

The product itself is fastly becoming the love of my life! I was never normally a bronzer kinda girl but since I have been using this it has become a staple in my make-up bag! It literally the most perfect bronze colour, it doesnt leave me looking too dark or "muddy" which I found alot of bronzers have made me look in the past. Perhaps this is the reason I have been put off bronzer for so long in the past. I find it is mostly matt but it has the sliiiightest hint of shimmer to it so you would get away with it for contouring too! It is so amazingly pigmented you need a light hand when applying. I use my Real Techniques Powder brush to apply this all over my face, and for contouring I use my Real Techniques Contour brush (Big Real Techniques fan as you can tell!)

The amount of product you get is pretty amazing too! You get 8g's of bronzer and for the amount I use on a daily basis I think I will be getting my value for money because it will last me forever!

I am so glad I bought this, I think it is going to be forever in my make-up bag! I purchased it off ASOS here

Have you got Laguna? What do you think of it?

Essie Set in Stones

Hello Lovelies!

If you follow me on Twitter you will know about my latest obsession with getting my hands on the Essie nail polish Set in Stones.

I had seen it online and fell in love. But I could never find it anywhere, I had searched on all the well known beauty sites and in shops but never had any luck. It was in the Spring/Summer collection last year so I had pretty much given up all hope of ever getting my hands on it!
I eventually typed it into eBay just on a whim, I didn't expect to get any results back but it came up and within 5 minutes I had it ordered.

I purchased it here for a bargainous €7. I have been using this constantly since I've gotten it. I love it so much it was in my August favourites. I wear it on my 'bling' finger. I layer it up so its just solid glitter!

It's my new favourite nail polish and I think I'm going to be obsessed for quite some time!

What do you think of it?

Alison Claire Natural Beauty Body Lotion & Shower Gel

Hello Lovelies!

Recently the lovely people at Alison Claire sent me some very generous samples. So I just thought I would let you know what I thought of the products and the company in general.

Alison Claire is a company that makes products without the use of artifical chemicals, they use naturally sorced ingredients which is fantastic as it suits all types of skin types, including sensitive. Another amazing thing about the company is that all the products are made and blended by hand. On their website they say that they create "products so pure you could eat them" Now to be fair I wouldn't be testing out that theory myself but I was definitely impressed by the quality of the products I recieved.
These products came carefully packaged to me, including their booklet about all the different products that they offer. I love the packaging of the products themselves also. Simple but pretty at the same time.
The two products I recieved were the Rose Geranium Body Lotion and the Lemongrass Shower Gel.

Rose Geranium Body Lotion

On the website this lotion is described as "Charmingly fragrant and pampering" and I agree 100%. It is such a luxurous feeling product. I absolutely adore the scent it is so relaxing and soothing. It leaves the skin feeling fabulously moisturised and not at all greasy. A small bit goes along way. I love applying this after a relaxing bath. Another thing I love about it is that the smell lasts alot longer than most other body lotions that I use. I love catching the hint of the smell through-out the day.

Lemongrass Shower Gel

The first thing I noticed about this shower gel was the scent. It definatly has a strong scent which alot of people might not like in a shower gel but I love stepping out of the shower and having the aroma of the shower gel filling the room. Again this shower gel is quite luxurous feeling. It is quite different in the sense that it doesn't lather up like normal shower gels would. I kind of prefer this as I feel it is actually cleaning my body instead of just covering it in suds. I felt it leaves my skin feeling moisturised too which is also a bonus! I use this in the mornings as it's quite refreshing and the scent definitely wakes me up.

For the full size of these two products it would cost £12 for a 200ml bottle on the website here. I think these products are absolutely worth it because a little goes a long way...plus we all love to spash out on some fancy products now and again right? We totally deserve it!

The Alison Claire website ships worldwide which I think is fantastic and they have such a wide variety of products from shower gels to foot cream to lip balms. Speaking of I am definitely going to try the foot cream as it looks amazing!

Have you tried any of the Alison Claire products? I'd love to hear your recommendations.

Liz Earle | Botanical Shine Shampoo & Conditioner

Hello Lovelies!

As you all know I am a firm lover in all things Liz Earle so when I recently recieved the Shampoo and Conditioner in a little order that I made I was so excited to try them.

I got the full size of the shampoo and a 50ml tester of the conditioner.

Firstly the shampoo. I absolutely adore this shampoo. Its quite different to other shampoos that I would normally use, it's quite light-weight. I normally use about a €2 size amount and spread it about my hair. I tend to add more water rather than more product because I can see how it would be really easy to build up too much product in your hair. It foams up lovely and leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean!
It contains naturally active ingredients which include, natural vitamin E, Aloe Vera, West African Shea Butter and apple and orange extracts. The smell of this shampoo is devine. It's got quite a citrus-y scent, obviously coming from the apple and orange extracts. It's lovely and refreshing for first thing in the morning.

he Conditioner is just the same quality as the shampoo. It's quite thick and luxurious feeling. I use the tiniest amount of this because that're really all you need as it's so rich. It leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and doesn't weigh my hair down which I find alot of conditioners do. Again the conditioner has the same fabulous scent and contains naturally active ingredients such as meadowfoam oil, blue seakale, kenyan yangu oil, apple and orange extracts.

I would thourghly recommend the Liz Earle hair-care range which is available online here. It is abit expensive at €10 each but I do think it's worth it because the products will last you and I have noticed a difference in my hair since I started using these products.

Have you tried any of the Liz Earle hair-care range? What are your thoughts about it?

Miracle Oil

Hello Lovelies!

I had to show you the latest bargain I have found. Aldi has recently opened up in town so I was in the other day having abit of a look. I have heard good things about their beauty and skin-care line so I decided to have a peek.

I had to look twice when I seen this bottle. Look familiar anyone? I think this looks quite similar to the infamous Moroccan Oil that so many people know and love. But at €30 a bottle I have never taken the plunge to try it. I picked this up for a bargainous €3.99.

So for €3.99 you get 50ml's of product.

I have been obsessed with hair oils lately, I've only tried the Primark Hask Oil and the L'oreal version so I'm quite excited to try this! First impressions is that its quite a light feeling oil so it doesn't weigh my hair down too much. It doesn't have a very strong smell which I'm quite happy about.

On the box it's described as an overnight treatment, a finishing product and a leave-in conditioner. But you also only need the tinest amount in your hair. I normally only put it at the ends which would need the most care and help.

I wish I picked up one or two more of these because they're sold out in my local Aldi, and rightly so at such a bargain!

Tag | How Much is My Face Worth?

Hello Lovelies!

I have seen this tag going around for quite awhile, and to be honest I have been a tiny bit afraid to have a go myself. I'm not going to include the price of my brushes in this because if I did I don't think I would wear make-up ever again! And another thing that gives me more comfort in doing this tag is knowing I don't use the whole product so my face wouldn't be worth the whole price of the items all in one go.

Anyway enough excuses and on to see how much damage I do to my bank account just for my daily appearance...

No.7 Stay Perfect Foundation

Hello Lovelies!

I'm sure alot of you know already that recently No.7 recently re-vamped their entire collection. They've lowered prices, changed the packaging and there is a few new products in their range.
One of the new parts of their range is their new Colour Match service. They've brought out a machine that matches your skin colour to the foundation colour that would best suit you. So what with me being on my "tan ban" and all my foundations being a little bit too dark for my au natural look I decided to toddle into my local Boots and see what all the fuss was about.

The lady at No.7 was so nice and helpful. I was fasinated by the process of the colour matching. She sat me down beside the big window in the shop to get as much natural light as possible (tiny bit mortifing with all the people walking by outside) She took the machine which had a little camera on the side and placed this on my cheek and took a picture and did the same on the other cheek. The machine gave back my result intantly. It showed a little round picture with my skin on the inside and then in a ring along the outside was the shade that would best match my skin.

Shockingly enough the my skin matched the lightest shade in their range which was Calico. I chose the Stay Perfect Foundation which No. 7 says gives "a beautiful flawless finish that lasts all day"

I adore this foundation. Its medium coverage but definatly buildable. It feels nice and light on the skin but it stays put all day long. Everything down to the packaging of this foundation I love. It feels so luxurous and for €16 it really is a bargain. They also have their vouchers going round at the minute so if you're interested in investing in a new foundation you'll get a little bit off for the next while.

Over-all I was delighted with my experiance with No.7. It was never a brand I would think to go to for foundation but I will definatly be re-purchasing after this!

Soap & Glory | Flake Away

Hello Lovelies!

Since I have recently started my "Tan Ban" I am spending alot of time exfoliating and moisturising to make sure my skin is in the best possible condition so I have recently re-purchased my holy grail body exfoliator which is the Soap & Glory "Flake Away".

This has been my favourite product for exfoliating for nearly a year now. I love absolutely everything about it right down to the packaging (which is pink as you can see- right up my street!)

It contains really small sugar granules and shea butter, so as you're exfoliating it still leaves your skin feeling pretty hydrated and moisturised which is a massive bonus for me because I absolutely despise feeling all tight and itchy after exfoliating and having to pile on the moisturiser!

The scent is absolutely devine! I think it smells very similar to Miss Dior Cherie which I'm in love with, and pairing the Flake Away with the Rightous Butter from Soap and Glory just leaves you smelling amazing!

It's amazing value too at €9.75 from Boots. A pot this size would normally last me almost 6 months so you really do get valute for money!

I really recommend going and having a sniff of this in your local Boots if you haven't already! I'm in love!

Sally Hanson | Frutti Petutie

Hello Lovelies!

I wanted to share a new favourite nail polish with you today. Even though we're coming into the Autumn months, for some strange reason I have been wearing Summery colours on my nails now more than ever. Yes I know...I'm just plain weird!

My local Tesco recently started stocking Sally Hanson nail polishes, and considering where I live its extremely hard to get a hold of any decent make up brands and nail polish brands this was a very exciting thing for me when I discovered this!

I picked up Frutti Petutie as my first colour, which is a shocking neon pink and I'm in love! I've been wearing this on my nails since I got it. I love the formula, you just need two coats for it to be opaque. I've had this on for nearly a week and it hasn't chipped, just some wearing at the tips from typing but no serious damage!

The only thing about these nail polishes are the price. I paid €8.95 for this and my boyfriend looked at me like I was mad. But the quality of this polish is amazing and I will get alot of wear out of it (yes even in Winter!)

Have you tried any of the Sally Hanson nail polishes? I'd love some recommendations!

17 Wild Curls Mascara

Hello Lovelies!

I had to show you the latest bargain I picked up in Boots. I was having a little look at the Boots website- I only discovered recently that there is a promotions section on the website! There are some great deals on there! I wrote earlier in the month about the fantastic Essie promotion that they have going on, but there was also a voucher for the 17 Wild Curls Mascara where you could get it for €1.50.
I was delighted with this considering its normally €9!

As you all probally know I love having big volumous lashes so I am constantly on the hunt to find the mascara that will hold a curl and add some volume to my lashes!
I quite like the brush on this mascara, it seperates the lashes lovely and coats all of the lashes in product. The formula is lovely- not too wet which I like. I always find I like mascara a week or two after I've it open.

For €1.50 I really can not complain! I just wish I bought more than one!

August Favourites

Hello Lovelies!

Can you just wake me up when September ends? I can't believe how quick this whole year has gone..Soon it will be Christmas! Eeeeep!

I don't have too many favourites this month but I thought I would share them with you anyhow!

Firstly I have changed back to my MAC Studio Sculpt foundation, because I have started a 'Tan Ban' and this is the only foundation that I own that matches my natural paleness (Ick!) I'd forgotten how much I love this foundation! The only bad thing I have to say about it is the smell..I really like the finish it gives and it's pretty much full coverage so I don't need as much concealer as normal!

My favourite nail polish of the moment is one that I have been searching for for so long! Its Essie Set in Stones. My local boots don't stock Essie so I havent got easy access to it at the best of times! I think Set in Stones was from a collection last year but I got it on eBay here! I was so excited because I've been looking for a plain silver glitter for ages! I layer it up so my whole nail is just covered in glitter and I wear it on my "bling" finger with the other fingers just plain colour!

One item of clothing I have worn alot this month is actually a scarf, I got it in Penneys/Primark at the start of the Summer and I have gotten so much wear out of it! Its such a lovely summery scarf but I don't care I will definately be wearing this through the winter too!

A random favourite this month is Feta Cheese. I am competely obsessed with this! I have it with Chilli Con Carne, I put it on crackers, eat it with Tortella chips, eat it on its own...the choices are endless!! Nom!

And just for a quick music favourite. I have been listening to The Deadly Buzzards. They're Irish (Whoop) and they do both original songs(which are epic) and covers. I have been loving this band and have been listening to them all month. Its such easy listening music and I'm just obsessed. They might not be to everyones taste but if you're interested you can have a listen here!

I hope September doesn't go as quick! I have a wedding to look forward to this month- I just hope my passport gets here in time!
