June Beauty Favourites

It is so hard to believe that we are more than half way through the year! Seriously it feels like this year is absolutely flying and before we know it, it will be Christmas soon again! (eep!) I discovered some really great products this month, some new releases and others are new products to me.

 Liz Earle Radiance Bronzer
I have already wrote a review on this here expressing my love about it in more in depth here. But like I said in that review I had never tried any Liz Earle make up before this and let me tell you it is a good way to start off another obsession. It gives a gorgeous natural glow while never looking too much on the skin. You can use one of the shades or like me just swirl the brush around and get a bit of everything! The only thing I don't like is the smell but if you power through it is definitely worth it!

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara
Another month another mascara, I seriously think this is an addiction. This months favourite comes in the form of the latest release from Bourjois. The brush is the most unusual thing about this containing a mixture of both strands and little balls to make sure every lash is coated in product. It gives lovely full voluminous lashes while adding a little bit of length.

Essie Cute as a Button
I have worn this nail polish all month long. When you look at the bottle you can actually see how far down it has which is a very rare occurrence in my nail polish collection. It is a lovely coral/pink- perfect for the Summer. It looks amazing with a tan and I have been wearing it on both my toes and finger nails. I can see this nail-polish being a firm favourite for the rest of the Summer months!

NYX Butter Glosses
I only have one pictured here but these glosses have become quite the obsession for me this month. Since they have only recently been released in Ireland they are only in certain shops at the moment. Once I managed to find a stand I went a bit crazy for the much hyped Butter Glosses, and they are definitely worth all the praise they get! You all know I am not a gloss girl at all apart from the Clarins ones, but these are almost an exact dupe of them for a fraction of the price! Non-sticky, longlasting, smell lovely and give off a lovely tint of colour..what more could you want?

Louise Young LY34 Super Foundation Brush
Finally my splurge of the month was the Louise Young Super Foundation brush. Again I have another full review on this here but this brush literally does all the work for you. It blends any foundation in seconds and gives the most natural finish. It washes amazingly well too! So far I have not experienced any shedding and I have used it everyday! I would definitely recommend this brush if you have been considering taking the plunge.

What have your June favourites been? Do you like any of the products that I have mentioned?

Liz Earle Radiant Glow Bronzer

I had never tried any make up from Liz Earle. You all know about my feelings for their Hot Cloth Cleanser (Perfection) and their other skin care bits that I have tried. But make-up was never something I thought about getting from the brand. Having said that, any reviews I have seen on the make-up were always amazing and the products always looked gorgeous. So one Friday an email dropped in my inbox and let me know that there was free shipping on the website, and it was also payday. Oops.

So I ordered the Liz Earle Radiant Glow bronzer. In my opinion I was very well restrained because I was eying up their Signature Foundation too..(next purchase?) I am a big fan of both Nars Laguna and the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel and they are really the only bronzers that I have and use everyday, so I wanted to dabble in the bronzed world now that it is Summertime.

This bronzer comes with four different shades in the compact. Ranging from a dark bronze right up to a highlighter shade there is something for everyone. You can use your brush in one of the colours or like me, just swirl it around and have a bit of everything. Now this bronzer is definitely a shimmery bronzer, so it would not be suitable for contouring but swept across the cheeks, forehead and down the centre of the face really does give your complexion a gorgeous natural looking colour combined with a beautiful glow. The only thing I don't like about this bronzer is the smell. Random as it may be, I really can't stand the smell of this. Thankfully it doesn't linger too long after application. Other than that I love everything about it. The packaging is nicely simple, no fuss and very sturdy.

If you want to give this beautiful bronzer a go it is available online here.

Budget Buy | Eye-blending Brushes

Hello Lovelies!

Today is another post in my Budget Buy series. Today we are talking all things blending brushes. Now we have all heard the hype about the MAC 217. Its an OAP of the make-up world and very well loved. I picked mine up while I was in London last year and have been using it ever since. Credit where credits due, it really is an amazing brush. It applies the perfect amount of product and it blends it all in really easily, it practically does all the work for you! The only thing that put me off buying another one was the price. €24 for a make-up brush was just a little more than I could justify.

Enter No.7's offering which is called the Eye Contour Brush. Although it has a shorter handle, it is pretty much identical to the MAC 217. If anything it is softer on the eye than the MAC. I find sometimes the 217 can be a tiny bit scratchy on the eyelid but the No.7 one is like velvet! I have washed both and both of them return to their original white state and both hold their shape really well. Neither of them shed which is always a bonus, we don't want to spend our mornings pulling little hairs off our perfectly blended eyeshadow!

If you are considering getting the 217, I would say save your pennies and try the No.7 one first! At €9.50 compared to €24 it is definitely alot easier on the pocket while still doing an amazing job! Have you tried this dupe from No.7? If you want to get your hands on it, it is available online here

Models Own Polish For Tans | Beach Bag & Shades

Hello Lovelies,

As I'm sure most of you know by now, I am an absolute nail polish fiend. I really can't help myself, it's like I am addicted to nail polish. Model's Own is one of my favourite brands for nail polish, they are always really on trend with the colours, textures and anything else they can sell that you can put on your nails!

One of their more recent releases has been their "Polish for Tans" range.Which as the name of the collection would suggest the polishes look amazing with a tan. Right up my street and I'm sure many of you are thinking the same! After looking at a few different swatches online I fell in love with two of the shades. But since I don't have a Model's Own stand near me I was patently waiting for them to appear on ASOS. But on a random shopping trip I actually hunted down a Model's Own stand and low and behold the only two colours left in the "Tan Polish" bit were the two I wanted..(I'm just gonna go ahead and say it was meant to be!) so within minutes I had them in my possession, giddy with excitement and my boyfriend looking at me like I had lost my mind (with excitement..yes.

The shades I picked up were "Beach Bag" a striking peachy-coral, and "Shades" a hot pink. These colours are literally Summer in a bottle. They were the two out of the range that appealed to me the most because firstly they are my kind of shades- I love a good peachy-coral! Secondly because they were the most wearable out of the line-up, lime green everyday nails might have earned me a few strange looks.

The formula isn't the best, definitely a two-three coater but once you achieve opacity it is so worth it! I have worn them on both my finger nails and my toes and I don't know if it's a placebo effect or not but my hands really do look alot more tanned when I have this on my nails (or maybe I'm just going slightly overboard with the faketan..either way I'm happy!) They are just so amazingly vibrant on the nails, and they are definitely two unique colours to my collection!

Have you tried the Model's Own Polish For Tans collection? What are your favourite shades from the range and what are your favourite shades to wear for Summer?

Mr. Nutcase iPhone Cover

Hello Lovelies!

As silly as it may sound, phone cases are one of my favourite things to get and I am always on the hunt for "the one". I have really been loving the personalized cases that have been doing the rounds lately, I think that they are just really unusual. It's not like anyone will have one the same as yours and the pictures really give it a personal touch. I was recently contacted by the lovely people over at Mr Nut Case who asked if I would like to try out one of their personalized phone cases. Of course I jumped at the chance!

First of all the website was so amazingly easy to use. They have hundreds of predesigned phonecases that you can pick if you don't want to go down the personalised route and they have a wide range of phone cases for different makes, sizes of phones. So there really is something for everyone. I had my phone case designed and ordered in less than 15 minutes, it was that easy! The delivery was so quick, because they offer worldwide free delivery I thought that it would take a little bit longer to arrive but it was dispatched the day after I ordered it and it took less than 5 working days before it arrived through my door.

The case itself is almost rubbery in feel. It's not a hard glossy case like most of my other ones which I actually prefer because there is less chance of it cracking if I let it fall and it feels alot nicer to hold too! I was really happy with how the pictures looked on the case. Some of the ones I used weren't the best quality but that didn't affect the way they looked when I got the case in person. As for wear of the case, I have had this for over 2 months now and it still looks the exact same as it did the first day I got it. There has been no wear around the edges and I have dropped my phone many (many) times and it has not let me down!

If you like the look of this you can create your own online here, with free worldwide delivery you really can't go wrong!

May Beauty Favourties

 Hello Lovelies!

How fast did this month go? It really doesn't feel that long since I was telling you about my April favourites  and now we are half way through the year. Craziness! Since it is getting into the Summer months (not that you would know that judging by the Irish weather!) I have been trying to change up my make-up products to reflect that.

MAC Patina
I bought this randomly on a trip to Brown Thomas because I wanted a cool toned brown to help fill up my pro-palette. I have literally used it everyday since I got it which was at the beginning of the month. It is a cool toned gold which is unlike any other colour I own. It is just so easy to wear, you can blend it into the crease or just sweep it all over the lid if you want a quick and easy application. I really think it's a colour that would be over looked among all the rest of the shades at MAC but it really is a beaut!

Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm
You all know I am a huge fan of the Botanics range at Boots but the stand out product for me is the Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm. This was the first ever cleansing balm I tried at the top of the hype when cleansing balms were "it". I instantly fell in love. It leaves my skin feeling cleansed and fresh but as well as that it doesn't dry out my skin. It is quite a moisturising cleanser so you don't have to worry about having that tight feeling after cleansing. I use my Garnier Micellar Water to remove the bulk of my make up and then go in with this for a deeper clean. Plus it doesn't break the bank, it is normally on offer for next to nothing so compared to the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm (which I still really want to try) is such a bargain!

Stila Convertable Colour | Gerbera
This was a splurge during the month. You know how it goes, you're watching youtube videos reviewing all these amazing products and your bank card is safely on the other side of your room. Next thing you know you have ordered whatever they told you to and you card is in your hand feeling slightly lighter. Ooops. That being said I am so happy I ordered this. I love everything about it. The formula is just wet enough to give a glow to the skin but not wet enough to just slide off your face. I have actually used this on both my lips and my cheeks and I am really happy with how it looks on both. The colour is really brightening and absolutely perfect for the Summer.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Crayon | Red Square
As you can see I went a little crazy with buying beauty products this month. This was another impulse buy after I fell in love with the Bourjois liquid lipstick last month. I just became obsessed with that orange/red lip colour and wanted it in every form I could think of. I love this because it is so quick and easy to apply, you literally just draw it on to your lips and it is there to stay for the day. Like the Bourjois one, it does.not.budge! I don't really need to comment on the colour of it because for me it is just perfection!

No.7 Instant Radiance Bronze Highlighter
I have already shown my love for this highlighter many many times. It is basically the bronzed version of my all time favourite highlighter - what more could you want for Summer? It goes on and blends like a dream, looks gorgeous and dewy-NOT glittery! Best of all it is more bronzed in colour so it looks amazing with a tan and gives you that "just back from a sun holiday (I wish)" glow. What more could you want?

So those are another lot of my monthly favourites. I am going to try my best and be slightly more restrained when it comes to ordering things online this month and perhaps put a slight spending ban in place? We'll just have to see how that goes. Let me know what your monthly favourites have been and if there is anything I need to try (even though I really probably don't!)

No.7 Instant Radiance Bronzing Highlighter

 Hello Lovelies!

Do you remember a couple of months ago when I discovered the No.7 Instant Radiance Highligher? You know the one, I raved about it at the time and it has been a firm staple in my make-up bag since (and has featured in quite a few Instagram pictures) Well being the geniuses that they are, those lovely people over at No.7 have only gone and released a Bronzed version! So really I had to pick it up, it was just calling my name!

The packaging of this is the same as the original, small compact and simple. They really hit the nail on the head with the packaging of this, it's perfect for throwing in your handbag for top-up's throughout the day and it doesn't take up much room in your make-up bag. The only difference between this and the original is the colour, instead of the baby pink it is a bronzed stick. To dispense the product you just twist the bottom and it comes up, but you really only need the tiniest amount to get a gorgeous glow! And considering you need such a small amount, you actually get so much product. I've just about leveled out the top of my original one and I have been using that since before Christmas! So it's amazing value for money!

The formula again, is the same as the original and it was the formula that won me over with the first one. I had previously been in love with the Jemma Kidd All Over Radiance cream because it was so beautifully creamy but we all know why I had to end that affair (sob!!) and started on my hunt for a replacement. I find that this highligher is actually creamier than the Jemma Kidd. It just blends like a dream- I actually use my fingers to apply because I find if I use it straight from the stick it looks a little too harsh! You can use it anywhere on your body, so I have great plans for the bronzed version. Once it (eventually) gets warmer, and I have my legs out and tanned I want to pop a little bit of this down the centre of them to give them abit more of a glow, on my collarbone and maybe my arms? I'll just be a bronzed, shimmery being come summertime! The other good thing about this highlighter is it is shimmery, not glittery! Nothing worse (in my humble opinion) than having glitter specks on your cheekbones -less is more!

I honestly don't think I can rave about this highlighter more, and if you are a highlighter lover like me you need this in your life! Available online here!
