Bit of a mixed review today! As you all know I am devoted to my Bioderma and I constantly have a bottle of it on the go, but a few months back I randomly picked up this Garnier Make Up Remover because it was on offer. I initially thought it was just an eye make-up remover (reminding me alot of the Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover in looks) but when I eventually read the bottle I was surprised to see it actually removes all make-up.
The Garnier formula has two liquids in it, a cleansing oil and a cleansing water. I had only ever tried one cleansing oil before this one and lets just say it didn't go well but I was still excited to try this one! You have to make sure to shake the bottle well before using it so that the liquids are nicely mixed together. When they are, you pour onto a cotton pad and you are good to go. I found it did remove my make up very well (including tough mascara...They're Real I'm looking at you!) but after using it on my eyes for a few days they felt very dry and itchy so I just don't use it on my eyes anymore. I wouldn't say this has taken over my love for Bioderma, or come even close but it is a nice product. Have any of you tried this and the Clarins Eye Make-Up Remover? Are they similar?
This is really interesting, I always love a make-up remover as a liquid in a bottle more than a face wipe make-up remover, they just seem more effective to me! So will defo try this out.

Agreed! I haven't used a face wipe in so long! xx
DeleteI find these types of makeup removers leave my skin feeling oily and it ends up clogging my pores and causing breakouts!!
ReplyDeleteFor some people though it's brilliant, not my favourite type of cleanser tough!

I think the same hun! I'm sure some people love them but just not for us lol xxx
DeleteGarnier are hit & miss for me, some of their stuff is great and some is a bit harsh. Still, it can't be any worse than the L'oreal eye make up remover that nearly burnt the eyes clean out of my head!
ReplyDeleteOh god hun I will be avoiding that like the plague! I've been wanting to try the cleansing water for ages! xx

ReplyDeleteI did actually like the Garnier when I used it. I try not to use waterproof make-up every day, hence why I didn't use that every day either. I feel it could be a bit drying, but micellar waters are drying, too. Pre-cleanse oils are great if you have waterproof make-up: they're less drying to the skin and are actually more effective at removing make up than Bioderma.
