February Favourites

Hello Lovelies!

Can you believe that February has come and gone already? Absolute craziness! I hope you all had a good month and are looking forward to March! March is my favourite month, because it's my Birthday month! Yay!

This month I've had quite a few new products to try out and the majority of my favourites this month are new products!

Essie Fiji & Barry M's Ruby Glitter
I have been wearing this nail combination for the past couple of weeks. I was originally looking for the L'oreal Confetti Topcoat but I couldn't get my hands on it anywhere, so I picked this Barry M one up on a whim just to see what it was like and I have fallen in love! I think it's gorgeous over Fiji which is a gorgeous baby baby pink- it's almost white it's that light! This combenation has been firmly on my fingers and will be for quite some time!

Sally Handson Insta-Dri
Three nail polishes in one favourites post? Yes yes I know..but it totally is justified! This stuff works miracles! I was originally using Ciate's quick dry fast coat but when I ran out of it I was quickly on the hunt for a replacement! I adore painting my nails but there is nothing worse having to sit there for ages not been able to do anything because your nails are still wet or slightly tacky! This stuff is amazing! It claims it drys in 30seconds! I'd still be abit nervous moving around that quickly so I'd give it at least a minute! But apart from its amazing drying qualities, it leaves amazing shine on my nails and it lasts so long!

Expert Face Brush
I bought this brush while I was in Dublin a couple of weeks ago. I actually bought it with my Boots points so tecnically I got it for free woohoo! I have become obsessed with this brush quite quickly, I literally use it for everything! I use it for my foundation, my blush (both cream & powder) my contouring and for powdering under my eyes! Such a handy brush to have! I orignally bought it because I thought it would be similar to the buffing brush, it's not but it's still amazing!

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer
I bought this in a Blog sale from the lovely Lottie. I had been eyeing this up for ages and I thought instead of paying over €30 for it and I might end up hating it, I bought it from her to see what it would be like. I have to say I absolutely love it! I am a big primer user and I would try to use it nearly everyday! This is such a gorgeous lightweight primer, it sinks into your skin lovely and it really has helped my make up last all day!

MAC Twinks
This was one of the first ever MAC eyeshadows I bought. I bought it for its sheer beauty in the pan. It's a gorgeous plum/brown shimmer eyeshadow. To tell you the truth after I got this I kind of regretted it because it was such a bold colour I thought I would never get away with it! But having played around with it in the past month I have grown to love it and I actually like the way it looks on my eyes! I would wear it in the outer corner of my eye and sometimes in the crease just for some definiation!

Nivea Hydro Care Lipbalm
This is a bit of a random addition to my favourites but I have had such chapped and dry lips the past couple of weeks and this has been my life saver! I've literally used it every day and it has helped stop the nasty dryness! Also its so compact I can just throw it in my handbag or coat pocket and be gone!

Rimmel Apocalips Celestial
I've done a whole review on the colours here but the one that I have worn the most and loved the most has been Celestial. It's a gorgeous muted pink, a slightly rosy shade. Perfect for everyday! I still can't believe how amazingly pigmented the Apocalips are! Since I wrote my blog post I bought Big Bang and I'm loving that too!

Shu Uemera Eyelash Curlers
I finally got my hands on these this month and I have fallen in love with them! I was debating for along time on whether €24 was a crazy amount of money to spend on eyelash curlers, and some of you may think it still is. But these eyelash curlers have changed how my eye make up looks! They are literally miracle workers! They widen up my eye completely and because I have a hooded eyelid it's quite hard to see my eyelashes some times but after using these my eyelashes seem miles longer than they are and paired with my They're Real mascara it's a match made in heaven!

So those are my Febuary favourites! I hope you enjoyed them! Let me know what your favourite products of this month are!

Lush Madame Butterfly

Hello Lovelies!

Not many of you might know this but I love butterflies. When I was in school I used to have butterfly everything. Folders, pencil case...it was a slight obsession. So you can just imagine how happy I was when I spotted this in Lush recently!

This is the limited edition Madame Butterfly bubble bar! I instantly picked one up and was so excited to have a bath (any excuse really...I love my baths!) The smell of the butterfly is absolutely gorgeous! It says it is a rose, lemon and geranium scent. But the scent that stands out to me the most is definitely the rose, which is fine by me because I love all things rose scented!

I used this on Sunday for the first time and I was so impressed! It leaves the bath water lovely and bubbly and PINK! I was really impressed to discover that the smell actually lingered on my skin for quite a while after the bath. I also loved the idea that it was on a stick so I could re-use it without things getting too messy! I know Lush do other versions of these re-useable bubble bars and I really wanted the Christmas one, I think it's in the shape of  a Star and smells like Snow Fairy (which I am yet to smell..shock!)

I bought this a few weeks ago for €6.95 for 75g of product, which I think is amazing because I definitely will not be running out of this any time soon! I am so glad there is not a Lush nearer to where I live otherwise my money would be gone there every week! I am so impressed with the quality of their products and I can see myself spending alot of money there in future!

MAC Lady Danger

New Favourite Lipstick Alert!

Hello Ladies!

Recently I did my first ever "Back to MAC" and chose the gorgeous Lady Danger. I have been loving the orange lip look lately and I'm a big fan of Topshop's Infared! I decided to expand my orange horizons! I have seen the lovely Lady Danger doing the rounds through the Beauty Blogging community and I too fell in love with it!

It is a matte finish lipstick which is my favourite kind of lipstick. I'm not a big fan of the shiny lip look, plus with a matte lipstick you always have the choice to add a gloss if you want a different look! I was abit worried that this would be drying on my lips as I have MAC's Ruby Woo lipstick which is also a matte finish and one of the most drying lipsticks I own. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't as drying as Ruby Woo and was quite a creamy consistency. The lasting power of this lipstick is amazing! I wore it for my Valentine's dinner, and through out all the eating, drinking and talking at the end of the night I still had this beautiful colour on my lips!

I think this is one of those lipsticks where you instantly recognise what it is. I've seen a few OOTD's and make up of the day posts where I think that lipstick is Lady Danger and I'm right. It is such a gorgeous colour and really unusual too! If you're not in the mood for a red lip but you are interested in similar, Lady Danger is the one for you!

The Everyday Eye

(mug shot alert!)

Hello Lovelies!

Today I wanted to share with you my everyday eye make up routine. Mainly because of the beauties pictured above that I got a week or so a go. The Shu Uemura eyelash curlers have completely changed my whole eye routine around. I literally can not believe the difference these eyelash curlers make! Before I was using cheapy Boots own brand ones which don't get me wrong were good but nothing compared to what these babies can do!
For a day to day basis I literally sweep MAC Vanilla all over my eyelid and then define abit more using Omega. I think Omega is such a good multi-purpose shade, I use this to fill in my eyebrows too! Then I curl my eyelashes using my Shu Uemura eyelash curlers (Love!) and apply my holy grail (oh yes, it's holy grail material!) mascara which is Benefit's They're Real! Can not rave about this mascara enough! Then I put a small bit of Illamasqua's Vow eyeliner on my waterline and I'm good to go!
So that is my quick everyday eye look I tend to whack on when I'm in a rush and still want to look decent! What's your go-to eye make up?

Gosh Holographic Nail Polish

Hello Ladies!

I hope you're all having a brilliant week so far! It's been so lovely and sunny the past while in Ireland so fingers crossed it lasts! I'm completely ready for it to be summer ASAP! Ooh in other news I ordered a new handbag off the Zara website last night,..bet you can't guess which one!

Now this is a nail polish I have lusted after forever and can I just say it was a massive pain in the behind to try and photograph! It is the Gosh Holograpic Nail Polish! This was released ages ago but I wasn't quick enough to get my hands on it and it was sold out everywhere in no time! It was of course available on eBay but the prices were absolutely ridiculous and I refused to pay that much for a nail polish! But imagine my sheer excitement when I heard they were re-releasing it last year! I was determined to get my hands on it this time..I refused to miss out again!

This time round they have advertised it as a "One Night Wear" nail polish which to be fair it is. You wouldn't exactly be painting your nails with this and expect it to last the whole week. This is definitely a statement nail polish! It is such a gorgeous unusual effect that no other nail polish can compare to!

I am in love and just wish I had back ups for when this runs out!

Hello Lovelies!

I can't believe it's Sunday already, where does the weekend go? I'm planning a major pamper session tonight involving face & hair masks, bubble bath and a mani/pedi!  I'm trying out some of my new Lush products tonight, and having my first ever Lush bath! Exciting times ladies!

I've been really into blogging the past week, I've just enjoyed it so much more than I usually do and the comments you guys have left on my posts have been so lovely! I love reading through comments on my posts, and there's nothing nicer than someone leaving a lovely comment on a post you worked really hard on and put alot of time & effort into! I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for being so nice and reading all the rambling I put up here!

I'd love it, if you had any requests or ideas for blog posts to write them in the comments! I'd love to hear what kind of posts you lovely people like to read and hopefully I can do some of them for you! If you're going having a pamper Sunday I hope you enjoy it!

OOTN | Valentine's Date Night

 Dress-Primark | Tights-Supercosy in Primark | Boots - Bonkers Shoes |
| Clutch-Primark | Watch-River Island |

Hello Lovelies!

Last night myself and my lovely boyfriend went out for a meal to celebrate Valentine's day! It was amazing night out. We went to a Thai restaurant in the town we live beside that I've never been in before and it was absolutely delicious!

I featured this dress in a haul a few weeks ago. I picked it up in Primark for €7 reduced from €17! Bargain! I love it so much! I was debating on whether to go bare legged or with tights and eventually went with the tights and was very glad I did, it was absolutely freezing last night! I wore my new favourite lipstick MAC's Lady Danger which I got in Dublin last weekend, it's amazing!

I don't normally do OOTD style posts, I'm not really confident enough for the pictures, but I was really happy with my outfit last night and just thought why not! If you like me doing these kinds of posts, let me know and I'll try to do some more!

Dublin Haul #2

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's day! I'm going out for a meal this evening after work and I'm so unbelievably excited to get dressed up for it! I have no idea what to wear though! eeeek!

If you read my last few posts you'll know that last weekend I was up in Dublin with my family, just for abit of shopping and a chilled out weekend. I asked on my "What's in My Travel Make Up Bag" post if you wanted to see a haul of some of the stuff I got at the weekend and a few of you said yes so I thought I'd post it!

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers
I've wanted to try these Eye Lash Curlers for months and I was so excited to finally get my hands on them! So far it's love! I really hope that they last. I was contemplating on whether to get the gold plated ones or the silver and in the end I decided to go with the silver, simply because I was afraid that the gold would eventually just wear off!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
This was a repurchase for me, I adore this foundation. I actually found it in the shade Porcelien which is a shade that my Boots at home didn't stock! I'm hoping this will be a good foundation when I'm not wearing tan!

Rimmel Apocolips Big Bang
Yes I finally got my hands on Big Bang! After searching all the Rimmel stands near me I gave up and waited until I went to Dublin to get it. I think this is going to be a Valentine's Night lip colour (yes yes I know..Red lip on Valentine's Day.. Ground-breaking right?) and you all know how much I love the Apocolips!

Sally Handson Insta Dry
I have been eyeing this up for quite awhile too! I was previously using the Ciate Fast Drying Top Coat and I was so sad when I got to the end of it. I really loved the "instant" drying effect because even though I adore doing my nails I hate waiting for them to dry! I've used this once and I'm loving it so far, let me know if you'd like to see a full review on it once I've tried it a couple of times!

Essie Fiji
I couldn't walk by the Essie stand when I was in Boots...It would have been wrong! I've been after an opaque baby pink for so long because the majority of my light pinks are very French manicure-y and I wanted something to make a statement! I'd seen this polish floating around the blogging/youtube world and thought I would give it a go! Loving it so far!

Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish Remover
Another re-purchase for me, I think everyone and their mother loves this little beauty! So handy and even though sometimes I do take the time with the cotton pads and the old fashioned nail polish remover I think this is such a convenient thing to have in your collection!

Boujouis Healthy Mix Foundation
I was in the market for a new foundation, I do love my Rimmel foundations but I just wanted to change it up abit and I decided to go for the Boujouis Healthy Mix! I've heard so many rave reviews about this and I know that Bourjois are made by the same people that make Chanel so you can't be going wrong with that right? I'll let you know how I get on with the foundation...randomly enough I really like the smell!

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
Again another thing that has been on my wishlist for ages now has been this mascara. I am obsessed with big lashes and having massive lashes. It's my favourite part of my make-up routine followed closely by doing my brows (random fact for you there!) and I've always kind of struggled to get mascara on my bottom lashes without messing up my make up under my eyes! The brush on this mascara is the ultimate cuteness!

MAC Lady Danger
Say hello to the first "Back To MAC" lipstick I have aquired! I was actually pretty nervous about "back to MAC-ing" for the first time because I've heard so many bad stories about snooty sales girls etc but I honestly had such a lovely girl helping me! She was so helpful and lovely and her nails looked amazing! I've had Lady Danger on my to-buy list for so long. I love wearing orange lipsticks in the Summer and I think this is the ultimate orange lipstick!

MAC Vanilla and Wedge
Yes I am still on my mission to fill my MAC pallet, I've decided (shock horror) that I'm going to go for all neutral shades. So in a bid to help me on this mission I picked up Vanilla- a gorgeous light cream colour, and Wedge- a shade very similar to Omega by MAC but you can't have too many browns..right? Also if you have any recommendations for neutral shades that you think I might like please comment them below because I really want to fill it!

Lush Mint Julips
Would you believe that I had never been to Lush before last weekend?! I know I know...lets just get past that! I did pick up a few other bits that I forgot to photograph because they were in my bathroom. I got the "Big" shampoo"Mask of Magnaminty", Madame Butterfly, Sex Bomb and since I spent (well over) €20 in the store I got to make my own bath bomb! I wasn't sure what "flavour" of the lip scrub to get, the mint or the bubblegum and ended up going for the mint because I thought that the bubblegum might get a bit sickly after a while of using it!

Let me know if you'd like to see a full review of any of these products and I'll gladly do it!

Valentine's Day Nails

Happy Valentine's Day to all you gorgeous ladies!

I'm actually not properly celebrating Valentine's day until tomorrow when I'm going out for a meal and getting all dressed up and all that fun stuff! But since today is the day I wanted to show you my nails that I painted last night with a face and hair mask on (lovely image for you there!) I didn't go too crazy with my nails, purely because I was lazy but I did want to get in the holiday spirit and all that!

I hope you all enjoy your day!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you are all having a brilliant week and had a brilliant Pancake Tuesday yesterday, I don't actually like Pancakes so I was the weirdo without the Pancake status', tweets and Instagram pictures haha!

Today I wanted to show you something that I have been absolutely addicted to for the past couple of weeks and has become a firm staple in my everyday skincare routine. You have all heard about it before I'm sure but it is the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. I first heard about this back in November and started my hunt for it. As you know I live in the country so things like this are really hard to get my hands on things like this. So surprise surprise it was absolutely impossible to get my hands on this! I eventually got it after Christmas in a small pharmacy in my town hidden away in the corner...you should have seen my excitement!

Since welcoming it into my life I have become totally addicted to this stuff! It has completely changed the texture and appearance of my skin. Before using this I had quite alot of breakouts especially around my chin area and it was really getting me down. But since using this my breakouts have been kept to an absolute minimum and it got rid of those annoying little bumps I had under my skin on my chin (TMI?) I was talking about this product with the lovely Jess on twitter and she said when she used it, it made her skin itch slightly and it really does! I kind of like that because I feel like it's actually working! I've been using this instead on my moisturiser most nights at the moment, the other great thing about this product is that it doesn't dry my skin out! It feels slightly moisturising too!

The only bad/sad thing about this product is the price. €16.99 for 40ml of product seems like quite a steep price to pay.  But sadly I am hooked so I will continue to repurchase this because of the effect it has had on my skin..Addicted! Boots sometimes have it on a 2 for 1 deal but they sell out quick when that offer is on!

Have you tried this product? I'd love to know what you think of it and if it's worked for you!

My Fortnight in Pictures

Hello Lovelies!

Stupid Mondays again...where does the weekend go?! I didn't get a chance to do one of these posts last week, I was so busy and to be honest I didn't think I did enough that week to justify doing one of these posts, so I decided to wait and mush the two weeks together for a proper post!

So two weeks ago I won a Facebook competition on Lulu Nails Facebook page to win a set of Ben & Jerry's nails and I thought they were just amazing! The skill in the design of the nails is unreal and I'll definitely be checking out some of their other designs!

I was feeling quite inspired by the lovely Hannah from A Little Beauty Spot. and I decided to break out my Tiffany's bracelet! My boyfriend got this for me for Christmas a couple of years ago but I was always really nervous to wear it incase I lost it! But the past two weeks I've been wearing it so much more and loving it!

Just a random Instagram but you can't beat a relaxing night in! I'm currently reading What's Left of Me by Kat Zhang! I'm loving it so far, I did find it abit hard to get into but now I'm obsessed and would really recommend it!

In the past two weeks I've started the 30 day shred. It's definitely alot tougher than I originally thought it would be. I was dying after the first day, I literally could not move! But it has gotten easier the more I do it and I've actually (shock) started to enjoy it!

Then this weekend I went to Dublin and visited Lush for the first time...It was amazing! I was so overwhelmed by everything but I did manage to pick up a few goodies and I'm so excited to try them out!

My family and myself went out for dinner on Saturday night and of course one can't have a dinner without Instagramming it right? It was really dark in the restaurant so that is a burger and chips if you're wondering!

So that's been pretty much what I have been up to for the past two weeks!

Rimmel Apocolips | Celestial & Apocaliptic

Hello Ladies!

Yes I know, yet another review on those Apocolips things! It seems the entire beauty world has gone mad for the latest offering from Rimmel (can they do no wrong lately?) and I was no different! I rushed to my local Boots in desperate search for them on the day they were released and was delighted to see there was some left!

The shades I picked up were 101 Celestial and 303 Apocaliptic. Celestial is a gorgeous muted rosey pink, which is perfect for an everyday look, and Apocaliptic is a vibrant fuschia pink similar to the Revlon Lip butter in Lollipop! I just want to take a moment and talk about the packaging, call me easily pleased but I quite like the fact that you can see the colour at the bottom of the tubes, saves time when you're rushing in the morning and don't want to grab loads and start looking at the names for the one you want!

Now I have been dying to try the YSL Glossy Stains for quite a while now but when I heard that Rimmel were releasing the Apocolips I decided to hold off and see how good they were and I was not disappointed! I don't think they are as glossy as the YSL Stains but the pigmentation of the Apocolips are out of this world (pardon the pun) They literally glide onto your lips and are completely opaque in the first coat! They are so long lasting on the lips it is unreal! I wore Celestial out to lunch the other day, I ate and drank to my hearts content and went to the bathroom after to touch up but there wasn't any need to because the colour was still in place and looking the same! They fade really evenly and slowly so you would only really need to top up once or twice throughout the whole day which I think is amazing!

The only complaint I have about these fabulous products is the smell, it's quite similar to the lipsticks and I'm just not loving it! Apart from that I am absolutely loving these beauties and I really want to get my hands on "Big Bang" next which is a gorgeous red colour, I think it would be fab!

Have you tried any of these? What colours would you recommend?
