Friday's Face!

Hello Lovelies!

Today I'm literally doing nothing. I have work later and then I'm coming straight home, popping on a face-mask and chilling out with my kindle!

But since I'm having a more chilled out day I decided to show you what my "not doing anything today" face looks like. I'm trying to take more pictures of myself to put on my blog because I think it makes a blog more personal when there's pictures of the people actually wearing the products.

Sorry for the lighting in the pictures it's really overcast today and I just could not get it to work with me at all!

Here is the list of products I'm wearing today.
L'oreal Magic Lumi Primer, Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, MAC's Springsheen, NAR's Laguna, Elizabeth Arden Rose Illumination, ELF Eyebrow Kit, Urban Decay's Foxy, Bootycall, Verve and Pistol, Benefit They're Real, Rimmel Scandal Eyes in Nude, Revlon Creme Brulee and Barry M's Red Black on my nails.

Ooh also I now have a blog button! Yay! If you'd like to do a "button swap" just let me know!

NOTD | MUA Nail Constellation

Hello Lovelies!

I wanted to show you my nails. Nothing new or ground breaking here and you've all seen it before! Office appropriate? Probably not! Interesting? Hells yes!

I've used the MUA Nail Constellation in Gemini (even though I'm a Pieces...) and Sally Hansen's Nail Polish in Delphinium. I did spend a half an hour doing it so it wasn't the easiest of looks to do, but in my opinion completely worth it!

I know I'm abit late jumping on the band wagon with this nail look...is it completely over? I'm off to show it off it work now and see what they think!

MAC "Well Dressed" Blush

Hello Lovelies!

Today I wanted to show you one of the most recent loves of my make-up life. I received this for Christmas and have literally been wearing it everyday since then! It's MAC's Well Dressed.

It's a Satin Finish which makes it suitable for a daytime look but you can always amp it up for night-time! It leaves such a gorgeous sheen on the cheeks, subtle and not too over powering! It looks stunning, trust me these pictures do not do it justice!

It's a really pretty baby pink with a silver sheen so it leaves a gorgeous healthy look and glow to your skin.
I think this will be a firm favourite for a long time! Love love love it!

My Five 2013 Resolutions

Hello Lovelies!

Today I wanted to share with  you my own personal resolutions/goals for the year of 2013! Now I'm not normally one for the resolutions. I always start off with great intentions and normally loose interest in the first week or so. But this year will be different (I swear!) I think slow and steady will win the race so I won't be looking for results or anything in the first while but hopefully in the long run I will see some!

So here are my little resolutions!

Start a healthy eating and fitness regime
I'm going to cut out drinking fizzy drinks, tea and coffee. Start eating more vegetables and fresh foods and less take-aways. I work in a leisure centre and since working here I've never actually came in to workout. This year I'm going to take some time and stay maybe an hour or so after work and actually do something. I also plan on starting the 30 day shred! If any of you lovely people have done it, could you let me know do you need weights or anything to do it?

Take more pictures
I've always been obsessed with taking pictures but this year I haven't just bothered. I think since getting my iPhone I've stopped taking my camera with me everywhere. This year I'm saving to get a decent camera for blogging with and hopefully that will lead to me taking more pictures!

Be more organised
I always make the resolution of starting a diary and failing miserably! So this year I just bought a note book and I'm going to try and make different lists, writing down important dates and even some quotes that may mean something to me. I'm also going to try to make better use of my time, when I can I will get up early and maybe write a few blog posts, or do some exercises or make lunch to bring with me to work..you see where I'm going with this!
Worry less and be happier
I worry about literally EVERYTHING! So this year I'm going to try and relax abit and not worry so much about what people think. My worrying has stopped me doing so much that I wanted to do last year and I missed out on oppertunities simply because of shyness and being anxious. So this year I'm going to start saying yes and just stop overthinking every little thing!
This is abit of a random one, but last year I always wanted the time to just sit down with a book and chill out. I used to love reading but since I don't live near an Easons or any other major bookshop I would always end up ordering them online and gone off the idea by the time they got delivered to me. My lovely boyfriend got me a Kindle for Christmas and since I've got it, I haven't been able to put it down! I absolutely love it and it makes reading in bed so much easier! If any of you have any recommendations for any books I should download please leave them below!
So there are my five resolutions for this year! Like I said this will be a slow process because I know from past experiances that I will get fed up easily! If you have made any new years resolutions do let me know what they are!

2012 Make Up Favourites

Hello Lovelies!

Happy New Year!!! Hard to believe that 2012 has been and gone. Seriously I feel like this year flew by and soon it will be my ickle blogs first birthday! Yay!

So in line with "blogging tradition" I felt it was only right to share with you my 2012 all time make up favourites! Now alot of these will come as no surprise to you and if I have done a post about the product I'll link it for you incase you want to read abit more about it.

So without anymore babbling on from me here are my 2012 make up favourites and I do apologize, it is quite a picture heavy post!

Primer
The primer that I have found myself reaching for alot this year has been the L'oreal Magic Lumi Primer. I have quite dull skin and find that this gives quite a radiant glow beneath my foundation. Sometimes I mix it in with my foundation instead of putting on two separate layers, and I love the effect it gives. Definitely makes me look more awake!

Foundation
One of the foundations that I have been loving alot this year I didn't actually have to photograph, but it was the infamous Rimmel "Wake Me Up" foundation. But the other foundation was a discovery late in the year for me and it was the Rimmel "Match Perfection". I love the light coverage it gives but it is build able for days I feel like I need some extra coverage.

Concealer
I couldn't pick just one for this category ..I'm sorry I cheated...and possibly not for the last time in this post!
For blemishes I have found nothing better than Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer. I use it in the shade 01 Fair which is the lightest they do (shocker) and it literally covers up everything!
And for under my eyes I've been using the Maybelline Dream Lumitouch concealer in Ivory. It really brightens up my under eyes and a much cheaper alternative to the YSL Touche Eclat!

Powder
A product I have raved about not too long ago here and it is the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Peach Glow!

Contour
So this year was the year I discovered contouring, and the first and only product I have used for this is the Sleek Contour Kit in Light. I have not found any other highstreet/drugstore contouring products that work as well for me as this one does. Paired with my Real Techniques Contour Brush it is a match made in heaven!

Bronzer
Now this may quite possibly be my favourite purchase of the whole year tied with another product! As you can see it is really well loved and I am absolutely terrified of it smashing because apparently once you hit pan on it thats when things start to go bad. I've used this pretty much everyday I've had it and I love the look it gives! Review here

Blusher
Another purchase from this year I have been loving has been my MAC Melba blush. It gives a gorgeous peachy glow to the skin and again I have been wearing this almost every day since I've had it. It is highly pigmented and you only need a very light hand with it. Review here

Highlighter
Tied with my NARS Laguna as my favourite purchase of the year is my Jemma Kidd All Over Radiance Cream in Iced Gold. I am heart broken that Jemma Kidd has gone out of business because this is my all time favourite highlighter and now it's no more! Review here

Eyebrows
The product I have been using for my eyebrows pretty much all year has been MAC Omega. I also use this for contouring and as an eyeshadow too so it is a pretty good all rounder product! Review here

Eyeshadows
I had to think really hard about what my favourite eyeshadow for the year was because I love so many. I am such an eyeshadow fiend. I love my NAKED pallet, my MAC pallet , my Smashbox pallet and I have a few Inglot ones too. I think the ones I have used the most are my Inglot neutrals. I love the pallet for traveling and the colors are pretty much what I would wear on an everyday basis to work etc so it's just handy to grab. Review here

Eyeliner
I've strayed away from my usual black kohl eyeliner and gone for a more natural look lately. I've used Illamasqua's Vow every day since I've got it in my water line to try and give a more "awake" look! Review here

Mascara
I may have cheated again for this because I'm sorry but I just couldn't pick between these two. I love them both for two different looks. Maybelline The Falsies gives such amazing dark black voluminous lashes that I haven't gotten from any other mascara. Benefit They're Real gives amazing length to my lashes that actually does make it look like I'm wearing eyelash extentions!

Lip Liner
A lipliner that I found the most use out of this year was MAC's NAKED Lip Liner. A gorgeous nude lipliner that I find really helps my lipstick last longer. Review here

Lipstick
Now this will definitely come as no surprise to any of you for my favourite lipstick and it is MAC's Hue. The most perfect pinky nude lipstick. I have bought about three of these this year and this one is nearly finished (sob!) so there will have to be another one bought soon!

Lipgloss
I'm not normally one for wearing lip glosses but for days that I'm feeling like I want to go the whole hog I normally reach for Rimmel's "Keep a Secret" Such a gorgeous pink colour and I don't find it sticky at all!

Honorary Mention
I really didn't know what category this product fell into but it is the Revlon Lipbutter in Lollipop. It was Revlon's 80th birthday this year and they really outdid themselves with the new lip products. I love this berry shade and it has been my go to dramatic shade for awhile now!

Nail Polish
As you all know I have a slight addiction to nail polish, so to pick favourites was really difficult because I could have written a whole post on my favourites of 2012 (If you would still like me to, please let me know!) But the two that stood out the most to me this year as been the most used are Essie's Mint Candy Apple and Barry M's Raspberry. Two very different shades but both very well loved!

So there you have it! My make up favourites of 2012. I love these kinds of posts because I think it's really interesting to look back on and see how your tastes have changed and if your still loving and using the same products a year on! If you have done one of these posts please leave them below and if you would like to see a nail polish favourites do let me know too because I would love to do one!
